Should work, but:
Be VERY careful with these types of laser diodes! Always wear special
safety glasses, which block this specific wavelength! Otherwise you risk
(especially with lasers) to burn your eyes! Even reflections (white wall,
paper), could harm your eyes!
With enough power, everything near the infrared spectrum should work.
